ABSTRACT

To explore the relationship between college students’ character advantage, emotion management and mental health, and provide empirical support for college students’ mental health education research.The Character Strength Scale, Emotion Management Scale and mental health scale were used as measuring tools in this study. In this study, 369 freshmen and sophomores from the Art department of Shijiazhuang Tiedao University Sifang College were selected by random sampling method. This research will utilize a mixed research method employing both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative method will be used to assess the participants’ character strength, emotion management, and mental health. The descriptive correlational research design will be utilized to correlate the participants level of mental health with their character strength, emotion management. The qualitative method was used to document the challenges encountered by the participants in relation to their character strength, emotion management, and mental health. This study will propose an action plan to enhance participants’ character strength, emotion management, and mental health.
